Metalens collects anonymous statistics such as crash reports and anonymized feature usage statistics. Metalens does not use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Metalens does not serve ads. Metalens does not use any third-party analytics service.
Information usage
The collected crash reports and anonymized feature usage statistics are used to improve the app experience and plan future improvements.
Security
Metalens uses public Hacker News API and a proprietary Metalens API to provide past snapshots and analytics of Hacker News feed items.
Usernames and passwords are only used to securely authenticate with Hacker News servers, credentials are not stored anywhere.
Metalens uses locally stored cookies to keep the users logged in, this is optional, users may use the application without logging in.

Metalens contains links to other sites. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Metalens does not knowingly store or collect information from anyone under the age of 13, Metalens is not designed or marketed towards audiences under 13.
